Description
Rates of mental health challenges in the communities we serve have remained stubbornly high. But what about the mental health of our own workforce? What are the factors elevating our levels of stress, distress, and burnout? And how does that influence our effectiveness in meeting our mission of protecting and serving the public? This data-packed session will share new data on the state of mental health in the Public Health, and evidence-informed best practice, as well as innovative ways your peers are addressing it to improve the health, wellbeing, and quality of life for our own workforce, and those we serve. The session will be capped with experiential exercise teaching simple but powerful techniques you can use to improve your own resilience and wellbeing.
This webinar will look at the state of mental health in the Public Health Workforce today, from a national perspective, and with an eye toward practice, scalable, and evidence-informed steps we can take to improve it. The business case for doing so is strong, and speakers will share the evidence for improved performance and health tied to achieving better workforce mental health.
