National Immunization Coverage Data with CDC
On Friday, January 13, CDC is releasing the 2022 National Immunization Survey-Child (NIS-Child) data and results of the most recent kindergarten coverage assessment. Join NACCHO on Wednesday, January 18, as we host Dr. Sarah Meyer from CDC on a webinar to present the latest data and trends in routine vaccinations. Dr. Meyer will share information on the newly released coverage data, CDC efforts for catch-up vaccination, and updates on the current issues (COVID, polio, etc.) in immunization.

Dr. Sarah Meyer serves as the Chief Medical Officer in the Immunization Services Division at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Dr. Meyer is a board-certified pediatrician who completed residency at Boston Children's Hospital and Boston Medical Center as well as an applied epidemiology fellowship through CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service. She has worked both domestically and globally on vaccine-preventable diseases and vaccines, including work related to surveillance, outbreaks, vaccine confidence, and policy. She has also held numerous leadership roles in CDC’s COVID-19 Vaccine Task Force, including leading vaccine policy and clinical guidelines development, serving as a senior advisor, and serving as Chief Medical Officer.
