Transforming Compassion Fatigue into Compassion Resilience
The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in traumatic experiences for the public health workforce across the country. As local health department officials and staff, you have worked tirelessly to support your communities, and NACCHO is committed to supporting you and your personal wellness. A critical resource for your health departments and the public health workforce is cultivating resilience not only for your wellness but to maintain effective emergency responses for the communities you serve.

With expertise from The National Council of Behavioral Health, NACCHO invites you to join us on Thursday, May 6 at 3 PM EST to discuss Transforming Compassion Fatigue into Compassion Resilience. During this interactive meeting, faculty will explore how to build compassion resilience and create a culture of wellness and trauma-informed care. Together, we will examine the tough questions: What happens when our passions start to make us feel tired, disengaged or cynical?  What does a culture of wellness and trauma-informed care look like? What are real strategies to advance wellness and trauma-informed care with your colleagues and staff?  Seize this chance to energize yourself, strengthen your work and equip your workforce for the complex and fulfilling work ahead.
